"The emphasis is on the sheer volume of tigers, along with the incredible adrenalin rush you experience when surrounded by the flashing orange fins of the attacking tigers." - Merwe, Oct 2014

Choose between 3 unique fishing safaris

Botswana offers 3 unique fishing experiences for the keen angler. Tiger fish during the natural feeding frenzy created by the annual Okavango Barbel Run every Sept/October. The Okavango panhandle and lagoons are also home to some stunning bream fisheries that can give anglers the chance to target a variety of bream species. Finally, fish for trophy tiger in the water of the Chobe and Zambezi rivers from the Chobe River region and combine this trip with water based game viewing along the Chobe River.

Preferred safari destinations

Fishing in the Okavango falls into 3 categories – tigerfishing on the Okavango Panhandle which is best experienced from late September to early November and then fishing for tigers at the Chobe/Zambezi confluence which is possible from May to November but best over the winter months.

Anglers looking to specifically target bream however can enjoy some quality fishing experiences around the bottom of the panhandle/delta confluence region.
