"We had the most fantastic weekend at Kasanka. We saw amazing birds and were treated like royals." - Lize, Sept 2016

Experience some of the best birding in Africa

Zambia offers some of the best birding in Africa with some regions offering around 500 species within a very small area and is a must for any bird enthusiast from "keenly interested" to serious 'twitchers.'

Safari highlights include:

Kasanka Bat Migration

Witness the Kasanka Bat Migration and the amazing birding that surrounds this…

Kafue Birding Safari

Combine 2 different camps in the Kafue and experience unrivalled birding.

Northern Zambian Circuit

Explore the ‘Northern Circuit’ in Zambia which is also home to the Shoebill!

Preferred birding destinations

While great birding is possible in a number of places in Southern Africa, it is the mix of ‘south of the Zambezi’ Southern Africa species with the Central African species that Zambia offers which is a huge attraction to birders.

Kasanka National Park, Lavushi Manda and the Bangweulu Wetlands are foremost examples of offering ‘Zambia meets Congo influenced’ birding and a major highlight in the calendar would be the annual Kasanka Bat migration and Shoebill season. However, another hugely popular birding destination that also offers superb wildlife viewing is the Kafue National Park.
