A 3, 4 or 5 night tiger fishing safari at either Ichingo Chobe River Lodge or Mutemwa Lodge

Brief Safari Overview

Dates: April - December   |   Group size: 2 - 16 anglers

Option 1: Ichingo Chobe River Lodge |  Option 2: Mutemwa Lodge

Fishing the Upper Zambezi

A great spot for lures, fly fishing and drifting bulldogs, we find the Ichingo waters fish their best in May, June, July and August when the annual Caprivi floodplains are receding and the baitfish are being washed back into the main channels. Fishing 2 per boat with access to excellent water and a variety of structure, the fishing around Ichingo is highly recommended. Nembwe are also caught from time to time in this region and for thos who want a break from the fishing, a water based game viewing cruise on the Chobe River usually guarantees great wildlife sightings.

Remote, private Upper Zambezi water with numerous islands, rapids, deep channels and flooded structure to fish, Mutemwa is probably best fished in March, April, August, September, November and December. The primary means of fishing here is with lures and spinners and tigers up to 18lbs have been caught. The beauty of Mutemwa is that the distance from Livingstone means the water is private and shared with only one other little campsite so you guaranteed to have the water to yourself. Day trips and overnight combinations with the Sioma Falls really adds variety to the fishing here and all fishing is 2 per boat on superb, large ali boats.
