An exciting and exhilarating 10 day Zambian tour offering some of the country’s best birding and wilderness regions, whilst taking in beautiful African scenery, sun kissed open grasslands and the natural beauty of all that Zambia has to offer.

Day 1 - 2 | 1 Night

Forest Inn, Mkushi

After landing in Lusaka, you will travel northwards for approximately 4 hours on your overland trip ideal for bird and game viewing enroute and arrive at the comfortable and convenient Forest Inn. Nestled in a beautiful Miombo woodland, Forest Inn offers a restful stay in quaint chalets, with unsurpassed birding opportunities and possible sightings of Chestnut Mantled Sparrow Weaver, Boehm’s Flycatcher and African Pied Wagtail, just to mention a few.

Day 2 -4 | 2 Nights

Wasa Lodge, Kasanka National Park

Your stay at Wasa will allow you to experience the heart of Kasanka. The beautiful chalets overlooking the the lake, the welcoming staff and tranquil surrounds will put you at ease allowing you to enjoy the safari of a lifetime. Sip Zambian coffee as you watch the sunrise over Lake Wasa, game view the Sitatungus and other wildlife indigenous to this area; take a bike road to the bat forest and climb a hide for a panoramic view of untouched Kasanka, or simply enjoy the gentle guided Wasa walk around the lake to spot some of the shyer animals. End the day with a sundowner in the perfect spot whilst the sights and sounds of the African bush captivate your soul.

Day 4- 5 | 1 Night

Luwombwa Lodge, Kasanka National Park

Grab your family and friends and head to Luwombwa for a one of a kind adventure with amazing birding and wildlife, great fishing, open spaces and exclusive use of the lodge which offers the most seasoned of travellers a private and authentic Central meets Southern African bush experience.

Day 5 -6 | 1 Night

Mumbatuta Camp, Lavushi Manda National Park

From Luwombwa, you will continue your self-drive adventure by travelling in a north -easterly direction towards Mumbatuta Camp, in the remote Lavushi Manda National Park. The landscape is wild, the outcrops rugged and the sheer vastness of the open spaces will have you believing you are the only people in this vast, pristine wilderness environment - a true gift for those looking to get back to nature and experience the untouched, untainted Zambia of days gone by.

Day 6 -8 | 2 Nights

Kapishya Hot Springs, Northern Zambia

Day 6 of your self-drive overland safari takes you to Northern Zambia to the Kapishya Hot Springs. Kapishya is a quiet secluded Lodge just off the Great North Road, along the banks of the Mansha River. The Hot Springs are an idyllic spot to spend your time relaxing in the natural, sulphur free water. As your feet sink into the soft white sand, you can forget about the stresses of the outside world and truly relax.

Day 8 - 10 | 2 Nights

Mutinondo Wilderness Camp

After your 2 day stay at Kapishya where you have soaked up the relaxing elements of the hot springs, you start your journey back home as you head southwards towards Mutinondo Wilderness, whilst experiencing breathtaking escarpment views enroute. Mutinondo Wilderness is ideal for people who love the bush combined with peace and tranquility. Located in the middle of miles and miles of beautiful Africa, this wonderful wilderness is a great escape and refuge from the pressures of everyday life and reminds one of the true priorities in life.

USD 1’500 per person sharing (Green Season: January - June)
